How is an atmosphere built—one that stays in your memory?

At Brod, every detail is carefully considered — including the lighting.

Brod’s General Manager, Nata Zarnadze, shares how the lighting was selected to match the interior and why proper lighting is essential to the guest experience.

Nata Zarnadze:"There are many details to consider in a restaurant interior because the space is made up of many components, and all of these elements need to blend together harmoniously.

During the day, natural light enters the space. The main windows face south, and throughout the day, the sunlight creates beautiful shadows inside.

We wanted to maintain this effect in the evening, planning the lighting so that the transition from day to night would feel natural and beautiful.

One of the most important elements was lighting — and distributing it thoughtfully and meaningfully throughout the space.

In the evenings, we wanted to create an atmosphere that would make guests feel comfortable and bring a sense of coziness. I think we succeeded."

Restaurant Brod opened in April. The interior design was done by Nino Shvangiradze – D-Collective.

Nino Shvangiradze:"Lighting played a crucial role in shaping the design. We had a solid structure to begin with — an old brick building with its own history.

The concept and the brief were to create a minimalist interior with Danish influence — very calm, warm, and cozy.

As for the Nordlux lighting, they are a significant part of the interior. Together with the wooden panels, they create a contrast — the metal of the lamps highlights and elevates the wood, making it feel more refined."

Delight is the official dealer of the Danish brand Nordlux in Georgia.
